The Ask

In 2019 Spotify launched a new playlist, Feelin’ Myself to start to equalize the barriers to entry for female rappers. The playlist has since become the second-fastest-growing hip-hop playlist on Spotify with over 1.7 million followers. Fast forward to 2021, it became very apparent to the Spotify team that this playlist deserved its own visual identity. The essence of Feelin’ Myself is confidence, edge, and high self-esteem. I was tasked with coming up with a visual identity that compliments the vibe of the playlist and artists highlighted on the playlist. The branding has been used for mobile, product, OOH advertisements and much more.
